A few days ago, while I was at work, I remembered something. I was tired, bored, ready to go home; I was generally just fed up and grumpy. But as I worked, I remembered something that I hadn\u2019t thought of in years. When I was in my younger teens, I decided almost subconsciously that I would start to see the beauty in everyday life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve been reading The Secret Garden<\/em> by Frances Hodgson Burnett, and it has awakened a wonder for the world around me that I think I had lost. The joy the children see as the spring arrives, and the wonder they have as they watch everything grow is beautiful. I want to have that every day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to go about my day looking for beauty, and see it in unlikely places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s beauty in nature, in people, places, moments. I don\u2019t want to miss it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a beautiful thing to sit with my sister and read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a beautiful thing to be able to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s beautiful to wash the dishes, to sit on the porch, to visit a friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s something wonderful in every moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Living is such a beautiful creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This world isn\u2019t all beautiful, there\u2019s a lot of ugly in it. But that makes it necessary to see the beauty in every moment, especially during the tough times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God made this amazing world, and I want to have the capacity to see the beauty and wonder that is in it every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to go forward looking for beauty. I want to find my secret gardens in every unremarkable day, and watch as the small green shoots burst into flowers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
