It’s Amelia writing today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s hard to believe that it\u2019s already 2022! For me, the start of the year is usually pretty stressful. I put a lot of pressure on myself to start changing my life and I try to make it \u201cperfect\u201d to set the year off right. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, crazily enough, rarely do my plans succeed. And not only that, but it seems that many things usually get in the way of these plans. When I look back at my life, I find that the first week of January is usually a disappointing one. I look back at journals and see some of the struggles I\u2019ve gone through at the start of the year, and 2022 has been no different. I have still felt the disappointment, the questions, and the feeling that things aren\u2019t as they should be in my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

If you had a rather disappointing start to the year, and if things looked a bit hopeless, I would like to leave you with one thought: The thing I will remember most about this time in my life is how I myself acted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I realized that everything that has happened so far this year has been completely out of my control. But, when I reflect back on 2022 in a year\u2019s time, I doubt I will be thinking about every detail that I have lived through this year. I will probably stop to remember how I acted, how I handled the situations, and if I truly had my heart in the right place. And, depending on how I act, those actions could change how I view this year later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope that these words might give you a little hope if your year didn\u2019t start off quite as you expected or would have wanted. Our actions really can change our view on things, and, if we choose to act in the right way, we might find that living life can be a little more worthwhile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
