Hey everyone! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We wanted to start off our post by making a quick announcement about something that’s been on our minds since the beginning of our blog. We’re very excited to announce that we will soon be starting our book video series!! In these videos we’ll discuss a few chapters of a book that we’ve read beforehand. We’ll be asking and answering questions based on the books and going deeper into their messages. We will also give summaries of the chapters so that anyone who doesn’t want to read the book could still follow along. We don’t want you to feel obligated to read along, but our next post will start with the first four chapters of The Magician’s Nephew<\/em> if anyone is interested! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the cold weather of fall approaches, we’re reminded of the things that make fall memorable. Each season brings different images to mind. Fall makes us think of books, warm fires, apple pie, steaming cups of tea, and beautiful fall colors. We would like to show you a few things that we enjoy in this season!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Books: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the Wrong Questions<\/em> by Lemony Snicket<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Fall is a great season for mysteries, so it was no question as to what book we would choose. With its gloomy setting and peculiar style, the series All the Wrong Questions<\/em> is a great fall read! The series follows almost-thirteen-year-old Lemony Snicket who is apprenticed to the mysterious group of V.F.D. In the first book Who Could that be at This Hour?<\/em> Lemony Snicket must complete his first assignment in the dying town of Stain’d by the Sea. Throughout the series, Lemony Snicket and his friends encounter mysterious happenings in the town that end up leading to adventures they could never have imagined. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The unusual and creative style of Lemony Snicket’s writing is something we really enjoy about these books. We recommend this series to anyone who tires of the ordinary and over-used stories we so often read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corduroy Road<\/em> by Adam Young <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This instrumental album is inspired by the Civil War and is a pleasant and interesting collection of songs! Some of the songs are based off of hymns, so the melodies are simple and catchy and the songs are great background music for your fall activities. We’re not sure why exactly, but the folk sound of this album reminds us of fall, and we think it’s a great time to listen to these songs!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recipe: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caramel Popcorn Balls<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We only started making these recently, but they have become a new favorite dessert! Because of caramel apples, caramel desserts make us think of fall, so we thought this would be a perfect recipe to share! Here’s the recipe that we use.<\/a> Instead of measuring out the popped popcorn, we use half a cup of unpopped popcorn. We like them best when they are warm!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
