Our Top 10 Books of 2020

Hello everyone!

For the past two weeks, Amelia and I have been thinking about our favorite books we have read this year, and what makes them our favorites. Even though it’s a long one this week, we hope you enjoy watching our video, and hopefully learn about some new books to read!

Thank you for watching!

    Very thoughtful!
My plan is to read vicariously through the two of you. I’ll let you know how it works out.

Wow, great job and good job on your dedication to reading! Reviews were very helpful … looking for one to read with my son. I loved The Hiding Place and by far our best read this year!

Hello Mattie and Amelia, Good job. The Hiding Place is wonderful! Also I listen for more information about all that happened during that time. Just this week there was a man on TV who spent 2 years in an attic and told how lonely he was.

Oh that was a delightful 16 minutes! I sat down with my own cup of tea and greatly enjoyed hearing your thoughts on the books you’ve been reading. Each of them sounds like they could easily make it onto my favorites list if they aren’t there already. I am in the middle of George Mueller’s autobiography right now, and it is such an inspiring and encouraging read! I also read Corrie Ten Boom’s “Tramp for the Lord” this year and was greatly encouraged. I love the quote you chose from her book “The Hiding Place”- it brought tears to my eyes! Its one that I need to read again. I am also such a fan of the Anne books; I had not read the series through in its entirety since I was probably your age, and earlier this year decided it was high time to revisit Avonlea and the Island! Actually, I was only going to read Anne of Green Gables, but then I thought I might as well read Anne of Avonlea too. Before I knew it, I was pulled in and went through them all again (rather too quickly). I’m glad I did! Anne’s House of Dreams is so good, but then again I love them all. I have never read Wind in the Willows. It was one I was always interested in but somehow never got around to reading. I definitely will have to check it out now, and I will write these others down for the next time I’m needing a book recommendation! Thank you for sharing, ladies! And great idea including the bloopers at the end haha!
