Mattie’s Journal Spreads
Hello! This is Mattie Grace.
In this post, I am going to share some of my journal spreads from April. I am still learning, so I have copied some of the designs, and to give credit where credit is due I will put a link to the original spread. I did create a few of my own spreads, though. Feel free to use them in your own journal if you would like! (:
To start off the year I drew out a 2020 page from this picture. It was a fun way to start off my new journal, but I quickly learned that colored pencils were not the greatest to use as the pigment will transfer to the opposite page.
This spread is so that I can track my Bible reading throughout the year. The first one is just numbers so I did not copy anything, but you can find the bookshelf here.
I made a project page so that I can track every project I have made this year, whether it is a sewing or knitting project. I wanted a place to write down everything I make this year because I tend to forget about a lot of my projects! The right page is from this image. I am hoping to write down nice things that happen this year, then I will be able to look back at all the happy memories!
This page is a bit of a conglomeration of part of someone else’s page and also my own drawing so that I could get 100 books on one page (I WILL read 100 books this year!).
Those pages were all for the whole year. These next ones are for April.
For the April spread, I found this beautiful picture. I definitely did not do it justice, but it was fun to experiment with some watercolors!
This one was a fun one! I used this picture for the flowers, and I also put a Tolkien quote to hopefully remind me to prioritize my time!
Even though I already made a page for books, I wanted one for each month. And I am also trying to exercise more this year, and because I will want to fill in a square to show how good I am (;D) so hopefully this will make me do at least one form of exercise everyday.
I hope this post encouraged you to continue, or start, your own journal. They are fun to make, and they actually help you get a bit more organized! In a few posts, I will show you some of my weekly spreads. Those are the ones that really help with organization for each day.
Thank you for reading! Come back next week for a new post!

Thanks for the inspiration! I discovered bullet journaling a few years ago but have yet to see these great ideas! I love the bookshelf idea, for Bible reading and for books I plan to read. So cool!
