• A Beautiful Book to Add to Your TBR

Hello everyone, it’s Mattie! It’s been raining a lot lately, so for my post this week, I thought I would recommend a nice cozy book to read during the stormy weather. The book is Thorn by Intisar Kahnani. I read this last fall and introduced it a little in our Fall TBR video, but basically, this book is a retelling of the fairytale The Goose Girl. I have never actually read the original Goose Girl story, but I have read quite a few retellings. This one is my favorite by far.  The story starts out with the main character Alyrra who is the princess of a small country in a…

  • Art Journal Pages

Hello everyone! Today I just wanted to share my art journal pages and a few reasons why you might want to start an art journal, too! I haven’t been doing this for very long, and I’m certainly not good at it, but it’s very fun to do! This was my first page, and it doesn’t look very good. I really wasn’t sure what I wanted to do when I made this, but I think I’m figuring it out a little more now. And my second, again, a bit strange and not very good. When Jesus died on the cross and rose again, he did everything that was needed to save me. Everything. Sometimes I find myself doing good things just because I think I…

  • A Little Progress Goes a Long Way

Hello everyone! Mattie writing today.I wanted to share a little about something I’ve been doing recently. For the past few months, I have been trying hard to turn two things I want to do into habits. The first is writing. While it may seem strange because I write on this blog, writing has never really been my thing. Sometimes I enjoy it, other times it seems like pulling teeth would be easier than trying to put my thoughts on a page. But ever since I participated in NaNoWriMo with Amelia last year, it made me realize I wanted to write, or at least wanted to want to write. Even though I failed miserably…
